5-Years Connecting Our Community with Business Tools for Success

Small businesses and start-ups keep our economy moving. They drive local competition and increase product availability and quality. Small businesses hire local people, versus large companies that sometimes arrive with a stock of employees.

Another important thing about small businesses is that they are flexible and can be opened by almost any community member. This makes them incredibly diverse in their offerings and character, which can help the local economy withstand tough conditions while also contributing to a ‘uniqueness’ for the local business community.

North Simcoe CFDC is proud to have supported the start-up and growth of local businesses for over 30 years. Since we started operating in 1986, we have advanced more than $18.45 M to 438 businesses.

To support the start-up, growth and expansion of local business, our team offers learning opportunities. Sessions are offered regularly and include members of our team and experts from outside agencies and organizations that can provide you with the information and tools you need to better your business. Since 2015, we have welcomed over 2,550 participants to more than 128 workshops, all designed to support our local business operators.

These opportunities have included:

  • How to Build a Business Plan
  • Management and Financial Series
  • Obtaining Credit
  • Registering a Business
  • Selling to Restaurants
  • Social Media
  • Workplace Coaching

This is just a selection of our great offerings. Connect with a member of our team to learn more.
